Acadia SUP is a locally owned stand up paddle boarding outfitter and surf shop based in Bar Harbor, Maine outside Acadia National Park.

In addition to being the only full-service specialty SUP store in Maine, Acadia SUP is known for their active and surf lifestyle clothing and accessories, and the fine quality of their products from small businesses and local vendors.

Amber is proud to have her mural of Paddlers on Long Pond featured on the wall and her fine art prints and merchandise available for purchase in the shop.

Amber is excited to be working with  Maine Photo Works, a local print shop in South Portland, Maine.  The advice and support provided to artists by local print shops like Maine Photo Works is priceless.  From scanning,  digital color-correction and printing artwork, to being a source on retail packaging, labeling and all things creative, the value local print shops offer is indeterminable.  Please know that your purchase not only supports this local artist, but that it also supports a local printing company, their staff, and all the other artists and creatives who have found them to be a trusted resource for locally sourced print materials.

Sargent Drive Print Watermark SM.jpg

Fine Art Prints Available

SARGENT DRIVE

Sargent Drive runs along picturesque Somes Sound, the only fjord on the American East Coast.  It's on the Mount Desert Island Marathon route & is known to be one of the most beautiful scenic drives in Maine.  This iconic tree is recognizable by many who've visited Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor.  May it forever remind you of your own Maine experience, the roads that become road trips & the adventures that last a lifetime.

Highland Cow Print Watermark.jpg

Fine Art Prints Available

HIGHLAND COW

The iconic Scottish highland cow. During a 2018 family trip to Scotland the highland cow was a crowd favorite.  We'd pull our vehicle over whenever we spotted them.  I'll never forget my niece's excitement as we crossed the country seeing these cows and hearing the sheep "baa."

Butterfly Print Watermark.jpg

Fine Art Prints Available

BUTTERFLY

I love discovering all the creatures of Acadia National Park.  I would hunt frogs, fish and snapping turtles at Lake Wood with my sister as a child.  We would find caterpillars and house them until they spun their silky cocoons and transformed into butterflies.  To this day I always plant special flowers and hope for butterfly visits!

"OH MY GOSH" CORNER

Sugarloaf, or “The ‘Loaf,” as the locals call it, is a ski area and resort located in the Longfellow Mountains in western Maine’s Carrabassett Valley. It is one of the largest ski areas in the Northeastern United States, and was my winter home as a child.

Sugarloaf is more than just a resort, it’s a lifestyle. The moment you come around “Oh-My-Gosh Corner” and view the Mountain for the first time, you know you’re home.

Hoot Owl Print Watermark.jpg

Fine Art Prints Available

"HOOT" OWL

These beautiful barred "hoot" owls are native to Acadia National Park.  Associated with wisdom, intuition and transformation, owls are truly amazing to spot in the wild!  I remember hearing their calls off my parent's porch in the spring when the night was still and to this day I am always shocked when I spot one in daylight, their giant bodies gliding on silent wings.

SSC Diego Print Watermark.jpg

Fine Art Prints Available

DIEGO

Diego was the iconic mascot of Side Street Cafe.  Raised in the family's home next to the cafe, Diego was a frequent visitor and recognized figure all over Bar Harbor.  He was known for posing for photos with guests on the Side Street porch (as pictured above).

Sand Beach Print Watermark.jpg

Fine Art Prints Available

SAND BEACH

Sand Beach is named for it's unique sand, comprised of shell fragments created by the pounding Atlantic surf.  The ocean temperature rarely exceeds 55 degrees yet this stunning locale is a favorite destination for both locals and visitors alike.  When I lived in downtown Bar Harbor I loved to spend my mornings here before heading into work in the afternoon with sandy toes, wind-whipped hair, and blissed out on sunshine.

Giraffe & Calf Print Watermark.jpg

Fine Art Prints Available

GIRAFFE & CALF

I was blessed to see giraffe in the wild on safari in South Africa.  This painting is one of my favorites as it captures the majestic love between these uniquely giant and stunning creatures.  This love between the giraffe and the calf is a love I feel we can all relate to, whether we are related by blood or by love.

HARBOR SEAL

Harbor seals range in color from brown to gray, with visible spotting, and blend in well with their surroundings when hauled out on a rock or ledge. They can be found in coastal waters of both the North Atlantic and North Pacific and are year-round residents along the Maine coast.

Maine’s minor league baseball team, the Portland Sea Dogs, are named after a slang term for the harbor seal.

IGUANA

Any place that has iguanas is always warm and beautiful. I love watching them navigate the tree tops, the palm fronds tickling their scaled bellies. At midday, when we've all moved into the shade for a cool drink, these guys can still be spotted basking lazily in the sunshine, soaking up the tropics.

JESUP PATH

The Jesup Path is a gorgeous walk in Acadia National Park regardless of season.  Beginning in a white birch forest, its length will also take you through a meadow and across a boardwalk over a marshy forest.  Barred owls, deer, chipmunks, frogs and native birds are common.
